Mike has spent his entire career of 40+ years in the construction and reconstruction industries. He has recently retired from Verisk / Xactware, after joining that organization in 1992. During his tenure with Xactware, Mike filled many roles including product leadership, catastrophe consultant, in general provided estimatics expertise to drive Xactware’s solutions to the number one spot in N. America. From 1994 – 2014, Mike built the team and processes for producing what became recognized as the industry’s most comprehensive and accurate building cost data. From 2015 – 2023 Mike filled the role of Xactware’s president, taking over from the Loveland family who founded the organization. Today, Mike acts as an independent advocate and consultant for the property claims and restoration industry. Mike is a graduate of Chattahoochee Tech (Atlanta); holds the Chartered Property and Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) and Certified Water Restoration Technician (IICRC) designations, and remains a licensed general contractor.
